Default Electric Fuel Pump

My mechanical fuel pump is making a tapping noise that is driving me nuts. I replaced the pump and push rod to no avail. Now i am thinking of putting in an electric pump as a quick fix.

I don't need a high performance pump, just one which would mimic the output/pressure of the stock mechanical pump

Any idea on where to get a pump and what model to get that would do the trick ( and not put too much of a dent in my wallet )? All i can find is these racing pumps designed to run 1000 hp engines at racing shops. Thats a bit more than i need for my stock 350. . . TIA!

Barry Grant and Holley make some. There are others, I'm sure. There's a Holley electric on my 468. I can take a look at the model # when I get home tonight

Holley red pump would probably be a good choice. No need for a regulator as it puts out 7psi and most carbs will work with that pressure.

Here's the one I have on mine: Holley 12-801-1, 7 psi, 97 gph. Seems to work well on the big block.

Theres alot of complaints that the Holley pump is kinda noisy..Try to fit it with rubber bushings when you bolt it to the frame..

I hear ya about the noise.... i think i'd rather have an electric sounding whine than the freakin tapping noise. . .

I've read in other posts about using rubber when mounting. I'll do that. As long as the holley pump is somewhat reliable. I'll go with it.

Thanks for the suggestions. You guys rock.
