I have a 73 coupe that I am installing a powered subwoofer in the rear compartment. The ground wire has to be no longer than 30". Where can I find a good ground to connect to seeing that it is mostly fiberglass back there.
Thanks for your help.
Drivers side rear grounding location for radio antenna. Left of gas tank. Clean the area for a good ground/less than 30" away I believe using the exit/grommet out he back of the rear storage compartment.

Go to the battery- go there for the power too. The rear compartment light ground wire is way to wimpy for something like a sub amp- you are only asking for problems.
no. I think that is a smaller gauge wire like 16. You need at least a 10 wire so run new to neg battery. What kind of cable end do you have on battery. If the spare wire is 10 use it. It would help to know how much power your sub draws to determine wire size

It is a smaller gauge wire. It is a 300 W powered sub woofer that has the right gauge wire and I would have to connect it directly to the negative terminal. Thanks for your help
