Default Tacho playing up.
Hi all, just got my new 72 yesterday and tacho started playing up on way home. Jumps around a lot on it's own, ie at 60 mph its moving around up and down 500 rpm on it's own. Then it decides to stop entirely for 10 mins and start up again. Where should I start? Many thanks.

you can disconnect the cable at the distributor, remove the large brass adapter and pull out the gear to check the condition of the teeth and whether the gear has eaten into the distributor.
