I want to put C6 Z06 replica wheels on my '81. They say they are a +56mm and 17x8.5 so what do I need to do to make them fit? Here is the description from Mid America Motorworks: C6 Z06 Style Wheel, 1988-2004 Chrome or Black 17 x 8.5", each(Chrome, Positive 56mm Offset)

Also you need to look at what tires do you plan on mounting. Original tires are 27" dia tires. If you go smaller then the speedo will be off. Also check what wheels you can buy for 17" 8.5 Wheels. You might not find a good fit.
original wheels as 15x8 with -12mm offset. So for them to fit similar to factory you need to add a very large wheel adapter = 56+12mm = 68mm wheel adapter. This for most is a bad idea.

IF the centerline of the wheels stays in the location of the factory wheel it shouldnt be any different than a stock wheel. The problem comes from when people use them to make wheels stick out further than original wheels did that stresses parts and/or they dont use hub centric spacers.
