Default ditching the Vac headlight system... kit?

Looking to tear out the stock Vac headlight system and install this kit. Anyone do this and/or other kits that seem to be better? Before I drop the coin on this, just looking for feedback.

I believe miata or Ford probe motors do the job. Takes some fab skills. But way less expense.

I don't mind dropping the cash and really looking for a easy plug/play setup.

That is a nice kit but pricey and you have to pull the dash out to get to the switch. Richard454 had a kit tha tplugged in and use dMiata motors or probe same thing. I bought the kit from another forum member but Richard was happy with any questions. Much lower in price and it did not require removing the dash. They work great and fast .His wiring is much simpler

Another +1 for Richard454's stuff. I wanted to do most of it myself but I picked up his harnesses and relays, etc. He also has it so that you can have the headlights stay up when the parking lights are on. Handy for cleaning or if you are showing off halo's, etc.

At the moment, my headlight switch is dangling under the dash and I was planning on installing a separate line from the battery/fuse for the kit. Trying to avoid messing with the fuse panel because I know where that will lead to. I will contact 454 and see about his kits....

thanks

Shoot me an email richard454 at comcast dot net

No need to wire anything to the fuse box and/or passenger cabin- power (at alternator)- ground at radiator shroud and it plugs into the OEM harness on the low beam headlight. No external control box to mount or get wet. No need to take apart the headlight assembly either- as the threaded rod screws right into the OEM clevis.

I have a PDF for the DIY or the complete kit install PDF

Another recommendation for Richard's kit. Very easy install and the headlights work perfectly.

I installed a kit from JS Engineering. Works as promised, eliminating all of the vacuum hoses and actuators. Installation was simple, but I did it with the motor and rad out. It could be done with the motor in, but I think you would at least want to remove the rad.

These- require a bunch of wire splicing- and a little slow...,.

Took me about 2-3 hours to install the kit. I removed the hood and went to work. I'm sure it would have been faster, but I was taking my time. I need to extend the Red wire about 12" just to tuck it away better, but othr than that, it was easy install.... really glad I did it, been fighting those lights/vacuum for years.......

Did you have the radiator in or out when you did yours?
I just emailed Richard to buy a kit as well.
