I’m not in a position where it’s easy to copy/past/add pics so. Google ‘flowmaster sound’ and check ‘images’ for chart comparisons. All 44X are loud.
Try Walker Dynomax mufflers....

My Son has Super44's on his 98 Chevy truck and they are nowhere near as loud as 40's were on my stock Foxbody Mustang. I know thats not exactly an apples to apples comparison. I had 50's on my Vette before the side pipes and they were perfect. Deep tone but not obnoxious and no drone.

I have headers and Flowmaster 40 series on my 68 convert with big block. It is definitely loud, but the car gets thumbs up when I start it at the local cruise in. The 44 series is supposed to be quieter. I watched the Flowmaster comparison video but quieter seemed to be debatable.
