Default Steering Column Fitment!
Hello everyone,

I'm looking to replace my 71 Corvette standard steering column with a tilt telescopic column. I've seen an 81 steering column being listed for sale. So, the question is:

Does an 81 Corvette steering column fit directly on a 71 Corvette?

No it does not. A 69-75 column is a direct bolt in. The later ones can be made to fit but it requires a little work for proper fit. The dash is different in those years.
