Default Fuel Pump lever travel

After a few years of hiatus I am back putting together my '80. A ton of rewiring to do but I wanted to get it running again first. I took the fuel pump off last year and took it apart to check it over, now I'll be damned if I can't remember how much travel the fuel pump lever moves on the cam lobe. Seems like it is only moving a little bit, maybe 1/4 in.

Now I am scared to start it in case that isn't enough. I looked it up and found the travel to be 10 mm. Doesn't sound like a lot to me. I just completely forgot as I usually just bolt them on. Any help here is appreciated.

Not sure what your question is. The fuel pump pushrod does move very little. Rember that it moves with each cam cycle so half engine rpm. That’s a lot of pumps.

Thank-you, my guess is I never really pushed the lever in, I just put the new on figuring it has to be good.

It travels just enough that if the pushrod is on the fat side of the cam it's near impossible to get the fuel pump back on.

I'm not at home, so I can't take a picture of a cam and the fuel pump lobe. But it is much smaller than the valve lobes

Does anyone have a cam to post a picture?

If smaller than valve lobe, 1/4 is about right. .500 cam is .3333 lobe lift.
