I'm installing my exhaust system from 'Allen's Exhaust'.
It's a 2.5" true dual system for a 77. I will cut the front 'manifold pipes ends', because I'm running longtube headers.
There wasn't any manual on how to fit the pipes... So I don't know which pipe goes where (LH and RH?).
Is the system (see picture) put together the right way?
If you're running long tube headers you can throw the front pipes away. You will need a short length of pipe custom made for each side to fit from your collectors back to the pipe at the trans cross member. Also, in case you don't know, you will need a bracket that bolts to the rear trans mount to support both pipes where they pass thru the openings in the cross member. I got one from Mid America. Otherwise the pipes will rattle.

Ok, can I do the bending myself at home (what are the possibilities)?
All exhaust workshops ask about 60 dollar/hour minimum (Belgium) when working on a car...
The system looks right but what we do is put the rear in place, then add the front pipes which will give you an idea relatively where the header will intersect the front pipe. Once we know where the end of the header pipe is going to intersect the original style header pipe, we then cut it, mock up the pipes and weld the header collector to the front pipe. We also use the 1973 rear hangers when we do this installation because they are user friendly.
Lastly... make sure you have the tip past the bumper cover, if you don't you'll melt it.
