new oil line from vendor came with a new fitting?
(1971 w/350) getting ready to put new gauge bezel in and decided that before that best order new oil line. Did so and I believe it is from Corvette America. It came and I was going to get started today but noticed a new fitting in bag with line. Is this fitting for in the block ? (diff from original there now) - I don't see how it could work on back of gauge so assume must be for block? I do know new line will screw on better to the new fitting verses old one on block. Old one has bigger hole in center for oil flow also but I imagine that don't matter. Any input on where it goes?

sorry- I can't do pics yet.. just getting around on pc. I can say fitting screws into block as original but is slightly shorter and oil flow smaller hole. but new line screws into it better than old fitting

I ordered one for my 68 and it also came with a new fitting for the the block and yes it was the same. I changed mine. You probably do not need to change it. The new hose should fit and seal fine.
