I was wondering about these covers myself, if I want to replace the stock ones I have to get the kind that bolt down in the center...right? I wanted to use those nifty wire looms to clean things up a bit and I don't see how with the kind that bolt down in the center. :(
I met a guy who tryed the adapter and he had clearance problems, I think with the rocker arms. He even tryed having his dealer install them with no luck.
As for wire looms, I used looms that bolted to the heads using the 1/4" tapped holes just above the exhaust manifolds or headers.
:yesnod:
Ibought stock 1996 LT4 center bolt valve covers with Vette logo from GM that fit perfectly. I've been told that 1.5 or 1.6 roller rocker may not have clearance. Otherwise OK.

Re: Valve Covers for ZZ4 (Ghostrider)
C5 valve covers are plastic and won't work. Those shown above are C4 valve covers from the 87 and later Vettes. Those will work, or contact Sallee Chevrolet ( http://www.sallee-chevrolet.com/ ). You can buy the stock black stamped steel ones from the ZZ4 motor, or they have some nice chromed ones with red Chevy Bowties. They also have some cast polished alluminum versions as well. If they don't have them, got to http://www.paceparts.com
Look in my sig for center bolt wire looms (if my sig picture is still there or it is mine    ).
