Heater AC Control Vaccum switch
Not getting air from the middle or side vents on c3 1980 corvette
The issue is the numbers 1 to 5 are not on the black selector switch so how do i know which order to put them in and if 2 port is vented or capped..
Here is how it was before i got new lines that dont fit in the original plug (and never fully worked anyway)
This is the way my stock rubber plug had them orientated but i never got middle air vents working
This is how it looks according the the schematic if thats how its orientated
This is how it would be if the schematic is showing you the back side of the switch...
Here is another option that someone posted up.
Which is it? and vent or cap the 2 port ???
Thank you!

I dont have the plug anymore
This is the only way i get it to work
Max and normal + cold = air through the front and side vents + re circulation air (vent open by passenger foot)
Vent + cold = air through the front and side vents, slight air from top and heater vents + fresh air (vent closed by passenger foot)
HTR + Hot = air through the feet heater vents (slight through the top window vent, front and sides) + re circulation air (vent open by passenger foot)
DFR + Hot = air through the heater vents and top window vent + fresh air (vent closed by passenger foot)
Noise of the controller
Off = slight hiss noise + re circulation air (vent open by passenger foot)
max and normal = no noise
Vent = slight hiss noise
HTR = no noise
DFR = hiss noise
That normal ?
As the switch is towards the heat the bypass valve allows vacuum to the line going to the hot water shut off valve.
When vacuum is applied there is less heat, when not applied there is more heat. Which is strange as the slider needs to be across to heat for the heater yet it then applies vacuum to the valve ????
