Default Show me your Hood Stripes!

I'm cutting a hole in my new high rise hood to install a C7 hood vent. Once that is done I need to get the hood painted. I'm thinking of doing a hood stripe like this Lingenfelter C3. But I'd like to get some other ideas.
Thanks
Bee Jay

Funny I just did this. I wanted a black center stripe on my hood and did it with peel coat paint. It's not perfect by far! But it looks pretty cool, and I can always peel it off so I thought what the heck.

That’s a great idea. I was going to pay an arm to get the hood painted, and a leg to add a stripe. I could just get the hood painted in yellow, and put down a vinyl stripe myself. I like the gloss black. My leg thanks you both.

you could also use plastidip for the stripes to try different designs t find what you like. Or even try a two tone with the plastidip to see if you like it before final paint. Like so

not my car, not my girl, not my pic...I am thinking it was paint but was using it as a reference to show the possibility of combinations as it peals off and doesnt damage paint.

You can do a lot with masking tape, although I would first but some cheap rattle can color down

My 79 done in Sunray DX livery. The stripes are vinyl wrap.

I see you took your stripes thru the bumper. Some stripes end at the bulge, some end at the hood, but yours goes all the way. Something to think about.

I plan to continue the stripe across the top of the car and to the rear bumper, I did the stripe with plasti-dip so if I didn't like it I could remove it.

It’s time to decide. I think I want a black stripe like these last two, but with a wide (1/4-1/2”)red pin stripe around it. Anybody out there with photo shop skills? Can you put a black stripe behind my vent, and surround it with a red pinstripe. I’d like to see what it would look like.

Looks good. Is that paint? Or wrap. I think I’ll use wrap. Leaving as is is still an option.

Paint. I had it painted when I had the scoop glassed into the hood.
