Good morning, I recently bought my first Corvette del 78 in Spain.
Right now I am beginning to restore it and I am unable to identify a piece. My engine is an L48 and that boxed piece in the picture is not included in my engine. I am looking for examples in the forums and there are engines of these years with this piece or without it and I have not been able to find in any manual what it is and what function it has.
I would appreciate any clarification and thanks in advance.
Cruise control diaphragm. Should have a rod that connects it to the carburetor throttle linkage. The turn signal on the steering column would have a button on the end of it. Also labeled “cruise”. There would also be a transducer box below the power brake booster that the speedometer cables connect to and vacuum hoses.

You need an assembly manual. The link below is where you'll find it and it's a downloadable manual so there is no shipping as long as you use the "free" code when you check out.
