1970 Front Suspension
Have dismantled the suspension to replace ball joints,A frame bushings, shocks and anything else that I find needing repair. I did find that the top left front cross shaft does have a bend and the A frame looks off a little compared to the right A frame. My question is can I replace the A frame with one off of a Camaro or Impala or is the A frame just for corvette? I won't know if there is any sag until the tech gets it on the machine so should I replace the shaft with a offset shaft or reg shaft. I'm thinking something funny is going on the left side. Lots of shims in the front and the bolt holding the bushing in the A frame is missing with the bushing working it's way out of the A frame.
Would it behove me to install a spreader bar or wait to see how the alignment turns out?
Going to do the trailing arms next before the alignment.
