A local shop finished my Vintageair install on my 70 Vette convertible. Everything works great my question is since install my head light doors open when first start car, closes again within seconds. Everything on head lights and wiper doors works like it should. All the switches under dash work like they should. Any ideas?

"Winking" headlamps are usually caused by loss of vacuum in the control portion of the system.
Look for this vacuum check valve near the distributor. It's purpose is to keep vacuum in the system. You can check with a hand vacuum pump by capping on the the connections (on the side with two) and putting the pump to the other. It should immediately build vacuum and hold for days.
If the check valve is OK, then disconnect the small line (again on the side with two connections) and use the vacuum pump on that hose. Pump down nicely and it should for days as well. Stretched hose ends are a common cause of leaks but they're hard to find because the hose will test OK.

check the connections at the actuator vacuum relay at the heads lights as well. If your year has one for each headlight then it would be a leak above the the tee that splits the line

Hey thanks for all the good information i traced the problem to a leak under the dash at the bypass, i now has a basic knowledge of how the system works.
