Engine issues??
New here...I’m looking at purchasing a 1976 corvette and having it restored but was told by a gentleman that has restored 7 corvettes the ‘76 was the worst regarding the engine. Just looking for other thoughts or opinions if I should steer clear of ‘76 and keep searching for a C3 that is restored or needs to be restored.

restoring a C3 Corvette yourself is expensive.. PAYING SOMEONE to restore one is VERY VERY EXPENSIVE.. Considering a 76 will never go up in value, I would opt for one ready to drive and enjoy it, or find a more valuable year to restore .. just my opinion.

Though I will add that it's always cheaper to buy a car that has already been restored. Doing a restoration yourself is always extremely expensive.
