Im interested in installing a line lock myself. i know the basics of how it works, and i am pretty compitent arround an engine bay, as long as there are instructions, or is a simple job. alternator, thermostat, radatior etc...
I just installed one. I replaced the brake line from the master cylinder to the front brakes. I bought two lines at NAPA for about $4 each and put the line lock in between.
I'm thinking about buying one. Summit sells them for $39.95. They also sell installation kits which includes connectors, flare adapters, unions, plugs, brake lines, and instructions. Price for the kit is $27.39. For those who need both, total price comes to $67.34. :yesnod:
Does a linelock work by pusing fluid to the front brakes, or blocking fluid pressure to the back? i am under the impression that it sends fluid to the front...

It locks the fluid in, It is a solenoid powered valve. You push the brake pedal in to clamp the front rotors then press the switch that controls the line lock and release the brake pedal, your front brakes are locked into place and you can do a burn-out without hurting or stressing you drivetrain with having to over come the rear brakes. :seeya :chevy
