Default "Merlin" engines...quality?

Hey guys,

Still contemplating a C3 BB purchase. Seen several with these "Merlin" engines in them. I'm new to the Chevy hi-po scene, so forgive my ignorance, but can someone give me some info on these. For instance, one had a 516" (600hp) motor advertised.

Thanks,

They are one of the most bulletproof blocks on the market. You can bore them as large as 800CI. They come in a few different configurations including all aluminum. Check my sig for lots of pics...
