Default 1968 elec/vac issue

Still having problems with the "system", looking for suggestions. The vacuum system works for the headlights, however the wiper system (elec/vac) does not work? shorted out the wiper motor so I know it works, purchased new dash wiper switch...no wipers. What do I do next? Thanks for any suggestions

First item, is the wiper door opening when you turn on the wipers? Wipers will not power on if the door isn't open.

Ensure that the wiper dash override switch (round **** sandwiched between the wiper door and headlight overrides) located under the steering column is not causing the issue. Turn it clockwise to see if the wipers will engage.

I'm not sure about the exact location but if the wiper door is open but the wipers won't run there's an electric limit switch that senses the door is fully open. It's mounted on the firewall. Make sure it's present, that the button is pressed and that it actually works. Just a simple SPST NO switch so make sure it conducts with the button pressed.
