Power Steering Pump
Hi All,
Have a strange question. Have a 1975 350 4speed. Power Steering pump is leaking. I have a 305 engine with a good power steering pump. The 305 pump fits the 350 engine.
Question: will the power steering pump from the 305 engine be fine or do I need the pump for a 350 engine and why? The 350 pump is tear drop shaped but the 305 is round on the bottom with a tube neck.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I seem to recall Jim Shea suggesting that if you swapped pumps you keep the pressure valve from the vette and put it in the other pump
That said, re-sealing your original pump is a pretty simple job and the o-ring kits are cheap.

I don't believe the round style Saginaw fill tube & fill tube cap will clear the ALT bracket. The tear drop or pear shape fill tube cap is really close to the bracket as you know.
