Default This is painfull

Just checked in to see whats up around here the new layout, its very hard to read to say the least. I dont have a visual impairment but even I have trouble reading the side bar. The site loads so unbeleivably slow its not funny. I thought it was from my end so I did a defrag and did a disk clean up and restarted my system.....still slow. As I type this, the loading bar is still only half way loaded with multiple little red X boxes all over the place. I may not post very much but do check in all the time.... At this rate it would take a few hours just to read one section let alone cruise thru the rest of the forums. I sure hope it gets alot better. :( I checked a bunch of other sites and this is the only one that loads this way. Did I miss something here? plug ins... the magic loading dust ??????

If you missed something, I did too. I am having the same vega slow response time here at the office with our high speed setup and at my home dail up system, I can't stay connected.

I guess they have a few more bugs to kill. :smash:

They'll get it fixed have no fear. Only temporary pain. To make the text bigger. Go to View next to your favorites tab, then text size, then choose your size.

yeah, they will fix it.

Usually when you re-do an entire system it will take a while to get the bugs fixed. patience:yesnod:

Troy says he is working on the speed.....he needs to go over to the servers and press the "Turbo" button..... :yesnod:

I followed his suggestions (in a link at the top of the C-3 page) about setting the fonts....re-setting cookies....and expanding the forum....that worked.

I'm sure Troy and others are working on it, but I guess I'll have to wait "outside" till they have all the bugs fixed. The forum is painfully slow, and the layout is all screwed up (e.g. huge empty space on the top of the page; list of topics start where the sidebar ends). Hope when they fix it they also think of the Mac users, which are often forgotten... :(
