Not sure how 'new' mine are since they where on the vette when I bought it 5 years ago but they seem to be pretty good rubber but I have nothing to compare them to.
I have them. I have run Eagle STs and BFGs before and we call the Dunlops 'the meaty paws' when comparing them to the others. Nice grip for an old-tech tire. :yesnod:

On a w-i-d-e 15" diameter? What are they?QUOTE]
That's probably true. I'm runing 245/60/15's but I would rather have a skinnier Yokohama than what I have now. they are ok for cruising and non performance situations.......but why buy a tyre that's only good for 30% of the time?
I have put about 110K miles on my car since I purchased it less than 5-1/2 years ago. About 60K miles on Dunlop GT's and 50K on BFG's. I will never return to the Dunlops. Hard riding, poor wet traction. End of story.
When I bought my '77 from my step dad, he had 245/60-15 Dunlops on. They were ok, but I bought Pirelli Scorpion Zero's 255/60VR15. They are great. They handle well and are great in the rain. They are actually a "sport truck tire". This gives you a slightly stiffer sidewall which helps with the cornering. The Pirelli's also have a VR speed rating which is good for 149 mph. I don't have to worry about that, I'm running 4.11's
I've had them on my '77 for 2 years with no complaints. Good traction and handling. I have driven in the rain with them and had no problems (driving carefully).
I had some on a car about 12 years ago. Going down I-95, about 4-5 inches of the center tread came off of the whole circumference. It beat up the whole side of my car.
I've run them on a '70 BB for 5 years. Just put new set on back. Wish I could find something stickier but don't want anything any shorter. They stop spinning about half way through second.

I have 245 15 T/A's all around and with only 8000 miles on them find them skittish in the rain, maybe will look into the Yoko's for my next set.
