Default Air/Smog Pump Removal

OK, I’m removing the Air Pump from my 78 L82, and indeed the standard Air Cleaner, in favour for something that will let it breathe, and will in future be swapping out Exhaust & Headers, but in the meantime I will be plugging the headers were the pipes for the Air Pump are removed.
However this raises a couple of Questions
1. The Vacuum Hose from the rear of the carb to the twin Snorkel vacuum diaphragm (hot/cold air) should this just be capped off?
2. More questionable the removal of the Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve (EGR)
3. Removal of the Early Fuel Evaporation Actuator (EFE)
There are mixed feelings on removing 1 & 2 above, but I feel this is the direction I want to go, but am open to opinions.
If these were to removed again a couple of questions regarding Capping of hose’s with regard to the EGR this hose goes to a T piece split to Thermal Vacuum Switch on thermostat housing, and the front of the Carb, should I remove the TVS plug it and cap the hose from the Carb.
As for the EFE, if removed again I can cap, ensure the valve is open, but again the question is the hose’s, agin to a T piece, splitting to another TVS and carbon filter, and from TVS to carb, again should I remove TVS plug and cap both hose’s
I appreciate a few question but I’m sure there’s some options out there, and likely been done.

1. The Vacuum Hose from the rear of the carb to the twin Snorkel vacuum diaphragm (hot/cold air) should this just be capped off? If that is all it supplies vacuum to, cap it.
2. More questionable the removal of the Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve (EGR). Remove it and install a block off plate.
3. Removal of the Early Fuel Evaporation Actuator (EFE) Not sure there is anything to gain from this.
Find a manifold vacuum source and use it for the vacuum advance on the distributor.

Thanks, the removal of the EFE was purely to de-clutter, and I had heard it did restrict.
Vacuum for distributor is sorted

The EGR is defeated by plugging the line. You can put a plate over it to clean it up if you like.....I used to make my own as a kid.
Make SURE you plug vacuum line "A" into a full manifold vacuum.....this is important.....it will improve overall drivability.
Now that I am not a kid and not worried about beer money, I would just put a 2101 Performer intake on it. This does four things:
1) Deletes the EGR
2) You can put a 1204 intake gasket on it when installing to block the hot heat riser port and keep everything cooler up there.
3) It DOES have some performance benefit....especially on the L-82 which has hotter cam but the same lousy intake as the L-48
4) It looks way better LOL

Team that up with a nice water neck with no port on it.....some nice stainless intake bolts and it cleans things up substantially. Another benefit of getting rid of all of these rogue vacuum lines is a much reduced chance for leaks in the future. If you are bucks down, just reseal the intake with the 1204 and there is still a lot of benefit.
And as ungainly as it is.....the dual snorkel L-82 air cleaner actually works quite well.....the tubes keep the incoming air cooler.....open element draws a lot of warm air (Especially if the heat riser is not deleted).
