My long ago rebuilt clock, in my 77, stopped working Sunday. That was just a little additional aggravation after I had lost in the 2nd round of racing. Anyway, I went to investigate the clock issue today and I noticed the interior (courtesy) lights were not working either. I checked the manual and I see they are all on the same 20 amp fuse. So I will try a new fuse but I'm just wondering if that will fix it or will the new fuse blow due to some other issue. Any of you electrical experts want to take a guess of offer advice?
There are two drawings for the clock/courtesy circuit on the 77. The drawing on the left is non delay courtesy and the right drawing is the delay courtesy. I would pull your left side console trim panel and unplug your lighter, remove your courtesy L&R lower and the above bulbs out. Install a new fuse. If you blow another fuse stop its deeper, could be clock or the courtesy delay relay if equipped.
If you don't blow a fuse try installing one at a time each bulb and last plug back in the lighter socket. Do you know if you have the delay timer, it was an option in 77.
