Hey guys, which tall valve covers will clear 1.6 scorpion roller rockers? I was going to order the tall proform Chevrolet covers in orange but in the description it says that they may not clear roller rockers. Any ideas or pics of what you guys have? I have a sbc350 with the Brodix ik200 and rpm air gap. I’d like to get some big beefy looking valve covers.

I dont know the length difference from 1.5 to 1.6 but I have harland sharp 1.5 rollers under M/T black wrinkle valve covers with stud girdles. I used .25 inch thick gaskets to get additional height. They also make aluminum spacers to get you more height for stock covers but the oil baffle could be an issue
Generally speaking, tall valve covers exist to clear roller rockers. With that said, there are probably combinations of roller rockers and tall valve covers that do not work well together. I have Crane roller rockers and Pro-Form tall valve covers on my small block and everything clears nicely.
Your best bet is to go to Summit Racing site. Under the "Engine Component" category, click on Valve Covers. It will ask you if you want tall or stock.
You will also have to consider oil drippers inside. Will they clear the rockers or not?
<<<<<< Those are Proforms Chevy Bowtie, TALL cast aluminum on the left. They clear roller tip rockers and have the baffles too.

You just need the tall studs or long bolts. Those T handle things just suck. You can also find these aluminum cover in all colors. Orange motors are kinda boring. One of my motors is metal flake blue. You have break out of the sheep mode! :LOL
On my drag Camero I had Harland Sharp roller rockers on 7/16 studs under stock valve covers, but I did face off the stud ends on a Sioux valve grinding machine before I installed them. This may have shortened them enough for clearance.
I spent a lot of time on summit today looking at the tall fabricated covers. The burger performance ones look great but so expensive. I found some on eBay that look similar for like $80 but I don’t know about the build quality.
I have the tall fabricated valve covers like the Ebay ones. I got mine from Skip White. Good quality and best price. They will easily cover your roller rockers.

Yes I already went through that list. The reason I posted the eBay covers and the ones from skip was because they’re about $70 as opposed to 150-200 for the ones on summit
I don't know ...
... but I do KNOW this ... based on a friend's very bad results from skippy blanco's parts & advice (pitch) ... I KNOW I wouldn't buy from him Nor heed his advice.
