C3 1969. Recently I turned my wipers on and the wiper door stuck open.
Wipers would shut off however the door stayed open. We replaced the wiper arm relay valve as it was broke.
Now the wipers wont work nor the door open or shut. Vacuum lines have been checked all good.
Stumped. Any suggestions would be Awesome. Thanks Guys.
Did you use a cheap china valve or the USA made one ,I just went through my wipers and used two china made wiper arm valves (both crap )and ended up getting the USA made valve and used the rubber cover for the spring off the cheapo valves and problem solved .Did you do the tests on your new valve to make sure that it holds vacuum on the middle port ? .Have you checked the position of your switches under your dash ?
Thanks for the quick reply and the Tip on the Valve.
Fortunately this valve is a USA Valve and the Vacuum is good. We did check the switches but will go through them again to be sure. What's odd is all of sudden it stopped working. Even checked the fuse and did the vacuum test Wilcox has posted.
Anything else We should check?
Re-adjusted the switches under the dash.
Wipers will work but the wiper door will not open automatically. You can open it up manually per the instructions in the 69
Manual.
Stuck on this one.
Any ideas?
