this is what im getting at, and a general look i want to go for
strangely, this is the only example i can find of this look
have others done something like this? possibly with more pictures from more angles?
beyond just rectangular reflector style headlights, this would also work for LED conversion
It has been a while, but i have seen a few here at the forums, and also over on the digital-corvettes forum,
I've seen a Lexus style with 5 projector style lights someone did that i liked,,,,, ill try to find links for ya,,,,
This low pro take on the c5's popups is close to what i was aiming for, but i'd need to be four LED bars, sets of two, staggered inside the housing. I think it'd look extremely slick, mostly because the popup door could be level with the horizon when opened, which makes it flow with the car's lines much better. Of course, machining/printing/milling custom headlight surrounds will be....a challenge.

Exactly what I am thinking. There are tons of flea bay lights that may work, but they are fog not head lights. I think these may be close if you could find a dual filament high-low beam bulb that would fit... https://www.ebay.com/itm/5-x-1-75-Un...p/302405295175

I've thought about this too for a long time. I check new cars in parking lots to see what's what and I think Audi's have some the most creative lighting. I'd go for something futuristic under the lid myself, here's one
The surround would be tricky but mastering 3D printing would be a great skill to acquire
. For some on this forum, I haven't seen ever that money or crazy amounts of labor are a problem. Anyway, that BMW's an Audi (Easy to be confused, "some of those Fokkers were Messerschmitts!")
See pix in link below, but my '72 got the operating lights taken out by a damn deer back in '98, so I went the taller square bulbs, then a truck backed into my left front, and so I reduced the openings by 50% and reduced the GLASS bulb size and brought forward by making my own mount and using junkyard parts, I found the glass bulbs in fact had glued in small actually replaceable bulbs in them....
and being glass of course, I not worried over anything fogging up.....
You could actually sell the left over parts and be all in at $150/side.
Not to mention you have a DOT system that has the correct cut-off as you're not blinding drivers PLUS will actually be able to see down the road at night.
So say you spend $500- look at ther GLASS projectors and tell me what you can do for that kind of money...good stuff ain't cheap....
The LED stuff eBay is questionable at best- and lucky if it works out of the box...just sayin

HA- and since my labor is free...I don't mind spending EXTRA of good products!

93 prelude or accord may be the right size. and legal. and glass, not plastic... and 50 bux a side new... wish i didn't throw 10 of them away so i could measure and compare.
