Default New site update

I just wanted to let everyone know that we are working on the outstanding open issues as fast as we can. Most of this is being discussed in the New Design Questions/Problems forum: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zeroforum?id=94

If you are seeing a red menu bar at the top of the screen you are not seeing the new design. This is a cookie problem. Most members have been able to fix it by going into the profile and resetting forum cookies. Then logging out, logging back in, and saving some sort of change in the profile. If that doesn't work you can use your browser to delete all cookies and temporary internet files. Then close the browser window and open a new one.

If you want the screen to be wider click on User Services in the top menu. Then click on Expandable Format. Hit save. Do Not use your back button to get back to the forums or it won't hold. Use the links.

If you are using a Mac you are going to have problems. We are working on fixing them.

Most members are experiencing faster response times. We are looking at some things that will help those of you that aren't. In particular, we are looking into ways to make the menu cache.

The links are not changing colors after they are visited. The light bulbs are not working correctly. Some members can't change the theme from within the forums. These are all cookie related problems that we are working on.

If you are seeing very small fonts you can fix this by changing the font size in your browser. In Internet Explorer you do this by clicking on the View menu then on Text Size. Choose a larger size. We are looking into some changes we can make on our end so that the font size doesn't vary as much when you change this browser setting.

The home pages are not working correctly yet. We will get to this as soon as we have the main forum bugs worked out.

There are a handful of other outstanding issues open. Please be patient and we will get them all worked out. We don't have the resources of a Yahoo or an Ebay. It will take us a little longer to get everything working perfectly (or close to it ;)).

Troy, thanks for the update and I appreciate all of the hard work. I realize that the serve migration and site update has not gone as smoothly as hoped, but Kudos for keeping on top of it and us updated.
