Default Fuse block

How are the wires that go through the firewall attached in the fuse block? Can you physically take the fuse block off on the engine side to repair wiring? Thanks
The red wire at #2 and #20 junction are bad all the way on engine side and about a foot on cabin side. I just need to know how they connect at the junction.

No. The fuse block mounts from inside the car. Under the hood, you can remove the bolt securing the forward lamp and engine harnesses to the fuse block, then separate the two harnesses.

You can pull off the engine side of it if you need to remove that harness though. Is that what you need to do?

That would be great. Previous owner had a stereo wiring mishap It appears. There is a metal unit blocking full access to the the fuse block 2 cables maybe cruise? I removed the bolt and have access to wires on cabin side but some type of connection holds them. Only damage is the 2 red wires

The interior of the fuse box is bolted to the firewall. The engine side is only a single bolt. At least on my 68, that's the case.
