The volume of any cylinder is PI (3.1416) times the radius squared times the height. So we have PI x R (squared) x H for the volume of ONE cylinder. "R", the radius, is 1/2 of the diameter of the cylinder and "H" is the stroke.
Take that result times 8 for an eight cyl. car, 6 for a 6 banger, and so on. See what I remembered from high school algebra and trig. :) Chuck

That's how I got my numbers.. I paid attention in school... :yesnod: :yesnod: even though it 10 years ago since I graduated...

385. I'd rather just go .020 over, then if I wear it out, go .040 over, then .060 over. Rather than just .030 than .060. Blocks clean up under .020 usually.

You're all a bunch of "young whipper-snappers". :) I was real proud of myself, since I graduated 38 years ago :) (High School, that it) Lots of dead brain cells since then. Mr. Tucciarone, my HS teacher would be proud. Chuck

All I know is that a normal stroked 350 with a 400 crank is a 377 with a standard bore (4.0) and is only a 383 if you bore .30 over. A .30 over bore is usuall because you are usually making a stroker out of a used motor so you need to bore it out anyway.
