Well you know how it started. One little fix up on the front suspenisson turned into a full rebuild, then let's check the rear trailing arms then a full rebuild plus new adjustable strut rods and then were already down here so lets pull the differential and check that out.
Some side play in the axle stubs so my question is?
Would anyone recommend a shop in the Atlanta Ga area who would be able to rebuild this differential?
This car will not be doing any kind of racing just cruising.
Thinking bearings, seals and probably clutch pack.
Would like not to have to ship this big hunk of iron hundred's of miles.

How much side play? some side play is normal. GM never had a maximum spec. Most of the specs on side play have come from Racing Rear End rebuilders. If you could get a reading you may not have to do it unless you have gear noise, leaks and posi slippage.
