I am going over the wiring for my '73 LS3/TR6060 swap and want to confirm the wiring for the reverse light switch. I can just wire that into the existing pink/green wire circuit correct? The switch/plug on the passenger side of the TR6060 is open when not in reverse and closed when in reverse? Also, the ECM does not need the signal from the reverse switch, correct?

Let me know if I have this wrong.
Thanks,

Wondering if you ever figured this out? I have a tr6060 in a 72 camaro and have those exact questons that you have asked. Thanks!
I have not verified 100% but from what I can see it works just like the original reverse switch, it is closed in reverse, otherwise it is open. I made a new pigtail (with the brown/green wires like the original!) but with the plug for the TR6060 to plug it into the existing harness.

thanks for the response!! So I had my engine harness sent out and reworked. It came back with the green wire (from the switch) going into the harness and to the main ecu. There is a second black or brown wire that is just loose. I thought it was a ground but from what you said that should be the wire I need to run my lights to correct? I might have to switch the polarity but or something but does that seem right then? Thanks again!! Been trying to get this wiring done for over a year now. Ugh
I don't think the ECU needs to know the engine is in reverse, but it does want the brake signal. As you eluded to I reversed the brake light signal with a relay so that the ECU sees 12v normally and 0 when the brakes are on. The circuit to the reverse is just a switch that is closed when the transmission is in reverse, otherwise it is open, so it can be in the circuit to the reverse lights. I my response above I said it was brown/green wires, but it is in fact a pink/green pigtail.
