So I have really freaking bad luck. I have a 78 corvette. Back in the summer the passenger side door lock stopped working. When you put the key in it it turns but nothing happens. No clicks or anything. This morning I went out to start the car and put in a location so i can cover it up for the winter and...the driver side does the same thing. Now what?
That is not 'bad luck', you're driving a 41 year old car.
I suggest that you look in the Chevy Corvette Service Manual for your year that you undoubtedly have and the Chevrolet Corvette Assembly Manual (ditto) so you can service the lock pawls and push rods in your doors.
Bad luck is a big bang....oil all over the driveway...car dead.

The other is lack of maintenance.
This is something I can do from outside the car right?
No, servicing the locks and mechanisms is done from inside the door, when you have the arm rests and inner door panels off.
There are threads on how to get a locked car open....I WILL NOT go into that. (there are ways).
The search button is your friend....upper right.
Good luck.... You are storing your car outside for winter????

So now I am remembering that on the passenger side door when it wasnt opening i couldn't unlock it from the inside or open it from the inside. I'm not asking how, I
m just askinh do you think its still possible to get a car open like that from the outside? Or am I stuck with a car I can't get into?
If you can't figure out how to get into your locked car, it is very simple.
Call a tow company.
They all have the tools to get into early model cars and it only takes a few seconds.
The other option would be to call a locksmith.
They also have the tools to get you in.
Someone who knows what they are doing can get into your car faster than you can with your key.
