Default Part identification help

Good afternoon,
. I am in need of replacing this part as in the picture. It is the A/C ball vent shut off for the driver side. The hinge is rusted and bent so it doesnt work anymore. I have tried searching for it, but I must have the name wrong because I can't find it anywhere. Hoping someone on here can help me with the correct name and/or source where I can get a replacement.

Thank You

Keith

The correct name for that item is Adapter Air Side Outlet. Others may call it Air Vent Deflector. 1969-1977 GM part numbers LH #3954533 RH #3954534

Almost impossible to find, not made anymore. You might be better off trying to fix this one. Sometimes you can find used ones.

Keith,
I have saved worse ones than that. Spray it with a can of PB Blaster (available at any parts store) NOT WD-40. Let it soak for a few hours, or even overnight. Spray it again and work it back and forth. It will free up. Then just straighten the threaded rod where the black **** screws on and I think you're back in the game.

I probably have good used here, but I'm with Greg..

Most can be repaired so I'd straighten out the **** rod, then I'd soak everything with some kind of penetrating oil and slowly work it until it frees up. Once done, lubricate the rub plate and tension lever and re-install. If the ears are broken off you can usually repair them with Plastic Weld or Plastic fusion. If you want a used one in working order, email me at Service@Willcoxcorvette.com and I'll take a look tomorrow.

Soak the things (PB Blaster, Kroil, acetone/trans fluid, whatever)
Straighten out the bits, take apart what can be

clean, lube and re-assemble

HI Greg-
. I am trying your method for repair, and it's a slow process but gaining traction so I think I will be able to salvage it as you recommended . thanks for the suggestion and assist.
