I own a 1980. Just recently bought it. Got a good vehicle for the price. Not perfect by far. But MY project now. Been reading the forum for a while and wanted to say hey to everybody and ask to keep the MANY good topics coming. I'm sure I will eventually have questions and this is the perfect place to ask them. :)
I have pics of the car, but these #@*% computers never seem to be nice to me. I have a scanner but after buying the new computer, tells me that it is not compatible. Anyway, it is red and has t-tops. Body in good shape, engine runs like a raped ape. Problems start with wiring, previous owner started yanking because of the dome light staying on, and interior needs help, but not bad. I paid $4000 for it running. Drove it home and to Florida. I love it and have always wanted one since a kid. Got a SWEET wife, she bought it for me. :blueangel: :)
Yup..if you own a vette, chances are you will have some problems at some time in the future. This forum is a great place to get help and learn about these awsome cars. Welcome aboard.
Thank you to ALL. I'm sure that I will be checking the forum VERY frequently and will be asking questions the further I get into the rebuild. My good friend, Hershey, wants me driving, but I am going to do it right this time. Kinda rushed the '80 Z-28. I love my cars, and want to make my "dream car" (the Vette) just the way I want it. I will put pics on as soon as I can figure out this *&$% scanner and computer  Thanks again to everybody that has replied. Makes me feel a part of the "family".
