Did you install it yet? I know I need to shorten the drive shaft and put an automatic yoke on it. I was wondering about the shifter placement and if you had Mcleod make you an offset arm or did you fab one up yourself... thanks
Yes, I have it installed. I did have to shorten the driveshaft and the slip yoke is larger, I think the same as TH 400 but check with Mcleod to confirm that. As for the shifter. The Camaro comes up in the center of the tunnel / console so I just made the hole more rearward and didn't have to pay the extra for the shifter mod. Don't know if that would work for you or if you need shifter offset you will have to purchase that from them. Here are the dimensions. Hope that helps.
I also had to modify the cross member trans mounting for more rearward location.

Reason: more info
if t400 size, the auto front yoke from a t400 vette is a must. punching u-joint caps in from under a car is possible. mebbe even challenging. but not worth the effort.

Perfect. Thanks. I found a used one and I think I'll pick it up this weekend. Then send it back to Mcleod to get it tuned back up. They dont sell any parts and only do repairs in house and their prices are really unbelievable. The price is right and I can get the other parts while I'm waiting. If I can get it back in a month I can have it in the car easily by spring
