Was out working on the vette this morning - my knock was an exhaust leak - easily fixed with copper header gasket - and took a pict of one of my two garages - this is the workshop - what are the rest of you doing garage wise - certainly you are better off than this.
BTW - the engine is a 454 that I'm helping a friend build for his 65 BelAir.
The only thing that bothers me about the garage is that it isnt heated..Today i had about 6 degrees(C) inside,so you have to work quickly to stay warm

Remember that guy in last years Corvette Fever mag that had the marble floored 3 car garage with a 66BB, 67 Custom, some SUV, and the rest was better than how I live.

Mine looks like a bomb went off in it. You have to walk around like you are in a mine field and jump over, duck under, catch this before it falls, hope the roof is still up there when you go out there.
Well its not quite that bad but it has been pretty messy since the front suspension and engine rebuild got started. It should start getting better because all is back together, just got to start getting cleaning.
Like a dorm parking lot! Feel fortunate folks, feel very fortunate! In good weather it's always nice to pull sideways across 3 spots and show off for the coeds  but being winter...yeh it can suck. Hopefully an apartment with covered parking is in my future...or (dare I hope?) a piece of crap rental house! If only :)

Looks like you like lights in your garage about as much as I do  , I think I had 7 light fixtures up in a little one car garage at the last Rental house I was in. Now I'm looking for a house of my own and the prerequisite is at least a 2 1/2 car garage so I have plenty of room to play.
And here is a photo of an automobile "turntable" in an underground garage. Too lazy to back out? Just flip a switch and the car is pointed in the right direction for the morning commute:
Seriously, though...here is my garage (I am fitting a '74 conv. body on the MG):
Funny you mention the garage. No pics, but I just finished painting one cinderblock wall of my garage with drylock paint. Great product! Real thick, nice white color and should stop the damp waterstains from coming thru. :) MJ
I've spent the last two months working on my garage. Cleaned it out. painted it, insulated it, put down a MotorMat floor http://www.motormat.com/main.html and a 45,000 btu gas fired heater. The only thing left to do is to install some track lighting and a couple new electrical outlets. I'll try to post some pic's tomorrow.
I built my 36x28 garage two years ago and still haven't finished of the inside.......maybe over the winter. I would love to put a heater in there.....along with cable, tel, sink, fridge, tile flooring etc...etc...etc...
There is a guy here with 12 Vettes and 6000 square feet of garage space !!!
Inherited it all. Mine was OK when built in 1920 for a horse...

Yep,gotta have them lights, hate to fumble in the dark..
Good Golly! I never thought of it until now. Glad I don't have a digital camera to take a picture. It has 3 kayaks on a rack, 2 mountain bikes, 1 motorcycle, Honda Civic, and 1 Corvette. That's just on the floor. The walls shelves look like the aftermath of a earthquake. I got some serious Spring cleaning to do. NEXT Spring of course.  Terry :flag
great thread! I am inspired! My one painted wall looks so good I can't wait to clean out the garage and paint the rest of it. I have 2 rusty metal support poles in the center that will respond very well to sanding and painting, and the doors and walls are all unpainted. Of course, this 40 degree rainy weather is not ideal for painting.... :( MJ
