Default hood release

HELP just closed the hood on my 81 vette, drivers side pops up passenger side does not release what can i do????

Push the hood release in all the way, gently lift the corner of the drivers side and get you hand in there to feel the cable going across the hood. Pull on that cable and the hood should release, it might take some work but it will open.lift

My '69 L71 with power brakes does not have a hole on the drivers side. There appears to be a metal plate across the opening and I believe it where the power brake booster is attached? I got the passenger side to pop but cannot get to the drivers side as I do not see a hole anywhere. Any ideas/suggestions?
