The 300-5 has smallish runners that flow well but the carb to port transition needs to be radiused a bit......it sure looks the part though and it makes a statement with the hood up.

That roof transition is what we did to it porting, along with matching the runner openings to my heads.

I would not use a Torker II if you are trying to make over 400-450hp or so. The ports and plenum are so small... there is not even enough meat to port it to get any kind of cross section out of it.

The old street Dominator intake is way better to mod to make power with. Not 100% sure it will fit under a stock BB hood tho.

On the real 70’ LS6 intakes, they are flat as a pancake and the plenum area looks tiny, but flip it upside down and see how big the runners are and how deep they protrude into their lifter galley. Obviously you would ideally want the port volume above the heads but...with what they were trying to do, the intake is not terrible. I’ve seen many dyno tests with the LS6 intake and the divider cut down make 500-550 crank hp on a well built 454.

Once again, not ideal but, it is workable.
