Default Nose height

I'm trying to adjust the height of the nose. Since my frame extensions are mounted with bolts and nuts (i.e the welded nuts in the frame are gone) the frame extensions can be adjusted quite a bit and I don't have anything fixed.
Should the frame extension top side be exactly in line with the top of the frame, or slightly tilted up or down?
Is there a way to reference the tip of the nose versus the rest of the car/frame?
Any close up pictures of the frame extensions would help, or pictures from below to see the front crossmember positioned versus the lower valance panel.
Thanks /Johan

My frame extensions look to be 1/4" higher than frame itself.

Leigh's frame extensions are where his need to be. yours need to be where the door gaps are correct and the front of the nose is held up without being pushed up.

Ok. I can see from Leigh's pictures that there are no welded nuts for the extensions. I thought that mine had just rusted away.
My nose is defenitely not being pushed up, I have now fixed it in the position where it would hang if it was not supported.
I dont find that the door gaps are affected much though, the flex seems to be only in front of the wheel arcs.
