Question on putting the dash back together
I pulled the dash apart this fall to put in Dakota Digital Gauges and a new stereo and I am putting it back together now.
I put in the driver's side dash pad with the speedo/tach in first. Fit fine. Then the center consoles. No problem. Now I am trying to get the center gauge bezel in place and it is fighting me to get it over the driver way enough.
My question is, for those of you who have done this, do you do the center bezel FIRST and then the side trim pieces or do you do it in the order I have above. The center shifter console and gauge bezel are both new so they aren't "worn in" like my old ones were.
Any suggestions? I am thinking of pulling the driver side back off (or at least loose) and getting the center bolted in straight, then wrenching the driver side in after that.

Sounds like the same way I do it.....if tight, just loosen up the driver side screws and also the passenger side dash pad screws.......set the bezel in place and start all the bezel screws then tighten them up slowly.....then finish tightening the dash pad screws.
