Welcome to the CF and the Dark Blue 73 coupe club (your car’s twin in pic below), re: your post, front bearings easy DIY just follow standard procedures. Rear wheel bearing service on cars this old should really be considered as a system repair/ maintenance. Proper evaluation of the entire IRS system by a mechanic with specific C2-C3 suspension experience is in order.
Good luck and keep us posted.

Hey 210ken, your car looks fantastic. Mine was repainted several years ago in a dark blue metallic, but I can't tell if the paint used matches the original color code 927. For the most part it still looks great but inside the door jambs and some areas under the hood that weren't repainted, the color is a little darker and has no metallic in it. I have ordered a small bottle of 927 touch up paint from Corvette America which should help me determine if the repaint color was correct. Should the same metallic paint be on all painted surfaces? I suppose it is possible that the car had been repainted more than once, and perhaps the first time a non-metallic paint was used.
Very nice. I *believe* your tires are from the 27th week of the year 2010 (from last time I researched tire dating). Either replace them or don't drive it. Not worth destroying your body if you have a blowout......and I have to ask: What is that structure in the background on the second picture???? I just can't make it out.
Thanks. Numbers match. I believe it’s all original except radio and paint and carpet as there is very little wear. It’s been well cared for. I’ll add it to the registry when I figure out how to access it
Did you or your mechanic actually verify that the VIN derivative on the engine matches the Body VIN?

I did. The last 5 digits stamped on the block 18860 match the last 5 on the body plate. I had to take a digital photo of the block and zoom in to get a clear view
Thx, mine was repainted in another version of the original dark blue as well. It seems a bit more iridescent than the original factory lacquer. IIRC some of the earlier C2 era dark blues had a lot less metallic flake.
That's a nice looking Vette. More photos are always appreciated. Welcome to the forum and the Corvette family. There are a lot of helpful people here so definitely ask questions... and use the search function. We've been talking Vette problems and issues for decades now so there's a lot of ground already covered.
For good historical reading on shark vettes, Tom Falconer's books are a fun read. More for the 'behind the scenes' and historical perspective than a repair book. The older Corvette "Enthusiasts" and picture books written in the 80's early 90s are the best IMO b/c they focus more on the sharks as they were contemporary back then ....and less on the later years' Vettes. IMO
