Headlights
I know the headlights on my 79 don't work correctly. Is there a tool to use on the system to create vacuum , so I can trouble shoot the system with out needing to have the engine running.

there is also a vacuum inducer available through HFT that runs off of your compressor....like $17.00

They are two different animals...I have both.
My-T-vac is a hand pump....if you are troubleshooting an individual component....pretty good unit....you have to squeeze the pump a bunch of times to get the vacuum you want.
When you are trying to troubleshoot a whole system...the HFT pump is better.....your hands could break off if you have a leak in the system.
The HFT pump will pull 28" of vacuum continually at 125 psi on your compressor.
HFT is also great for evacuating the A/C system to remove moisture....for an HOUR.....your hands would be dead by then, with a My-T-Vac.
Buy BOTH!
