Rear End Problem
Why are my half shaft U-bolts hitting the rear housing
Oh, it's happening the same on both the driver's and passenger side.

I can't see the ubolts hitting from here, but it might be worn side yokes.
They wear on the inside end, and the yoke moves inward with wheel pressure.
Lift the rear wheel, and check for excessive vertical movement (12/6 Oclock).
It's best the watch them when someone else pushes on the wheel.
Good luck, but if they are that bad, it's probably a mess inside the case.
A bit of flushing and some elbow grease will get the yokes out. They are
just held with a snap ring - if the snap rings are still there. Once they
wear far enough, the snap rings fall off and get chewed up. One of mine
was this bad - but the gears prevail. Yokes are about $100 each - and up.
