Default Trying to put her back together again

Good Afternoon,
I am completely new to this forum and trying to find some expertise while putting back together a 1980 C3.
I've had the car for almost a week and my friend started a few modifications before made it's way to my house. The radiator, water pump, P/S pump and AC compressor have all been removed, and all I have are a bunch of bolts, a few brackets and a new chrome water pump, power steering pump, and aluminum radiator with electric fans. While I have worked on hundreds of small blocks, I am not 100% sure exactly how everything is supposed to mount. I have a Hayes manual coming in the mail, but I would like to get a head start before it arrives next week. Does anyone happen to have a few pictures of front of the engine (without the fan and fan clutch) by chance?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Nice looking car. Forget about the Haynes and get a FSM and/or assembly manual.

Another suggestion is to do internet searches for used 1980 Corvettes (used cars for sale) ...and take screen shots of their engine compartments, especially the ads that have well-detailed pictures.

Thirdly, show us some of the brackets and bolts and we can tell you where they go.

Great luck

Well, thanks to Lakerider57 I was able to get the AC compressor installed, so now the radiator and AC are back in place, just have to press on the P/S pump pulley and install that and the alternator. Then on to adding the temp control unit for the fans and wiring everything up, and a deep clean of the engine, but I want to put a mile or two on her first

Boy ....now would be the time to squirt some semi-gloss black on the frame and suspension parts ...get some color on the motor.

If you ever plan to do it, do it now, before you put all that stuff back on.

Thanks for the reminder, as I completely forgot to get the paint when I bought all the fluids yesterday, luckily I noticed this post before I went to Summit Racing to grab the water pump pulley at lunch. So a little painting tonight and wrench turning tomorrow!

Well, I got her back on the road, took a maiden voyage to the ole petrol station to fill her up, and BAM, the drivers seat broke, just fell down and back on the right hand side.

Any one have any tip on repairing the seats, or do I just need to start searching for new ones?

Up to you. Why not try to repair the one you have? Are you aware the seats will swap left/right?
