Does a 1970 454 390-hp with a manual transmission and NO air conditioning original come from the factory with a TCS valve? The build date was late January 1970.
My car does not have it but as I am trying to get the car back to stock appearance.

What's a 'TCS Valve'? I only know of a 'TCS Solenoid' - the electrically operated device which controls whether the distributor sees engine vacuum or not.
Anyways, I have a very original '70 LS5 w/o AC, but w/ AT. Build date June 29, 1970.
Mine does have the TCS Solenoid. Furthermore I believe that ALL LS5s had the TCS system, irrespective of which gearbox is in, or other factory options.
Thank you,
I received a Early 1970 wiring schematic but it does not show the TCS circuit.
Does anyone have a schematic for 1970 that shows this circuitry.

First off, I'm not aware that there are 'early' and 'late' wiring diagrams for a '70. I think there is only one version - which kind of makes sense considering that '70 was a short production year.
Secondly, and I'm working off my memory ATM (never a good thing...) b/c I'm at work, there may be some confusion here: The acronym 'TCS' appears twice in the electrical system of a '70:
.
There is the Transmission Controlled Spark system. This is the system which is responsible for routing engine vaccum to the distributor (for ignition advance) in certain driving conditions, and not in others. As I have claimed before, I believe that all '70 LS5s had that originally, although supposedly many were removed by their owners at one point or another.
There is also the Transmission Control Switch/Solenoid, AKA the 'kick down' mechanism, which of course commands the AT into a lower gear at WOT. This system obviously exists only in cars w/ AT. The wiring is there on MT cars, but the sensors/actors are not.
I am referring to the transmission controled spark system. I am trying to identify the wire location and wire color that goes to the transmission mounted switch as well as the solenoid that mounts on the intake manifold. As well as the temperature switch that mounts on the passenger side engine head.
