Mechanical Tach HEI
I'm doing some winter maintenance on my 1972 and my spark plugs and plug wires need replacing. I'm thinking about also converting to a mechanical tach HEI but prices range from ~$130 to ~$250 for a Jegs house brand to ~$500 for a MSD. Does anyone have any experience in the Keen Parts model from Jegs? https://www.jegs.com/i/Keen-Parts/592/220129/10002/-1
How about the Jegs or Summit house brands? Any other suggestions? I'm fine with paying a little extra for higher quality components but not if it's just branding.

I bought this one. Definitely the cheapest one you're likely to find. Build quality seems to be good, I've had a few miles on with no problems. I don't have enough miles to let you know about reliability. But for a cheap part to get the car up and running after being down a while, it works great.

I had a no brand one in my car when I got it. I never had a problem with it. Its in a box in the basement right now as I went back to a stock unit with a breakerless ignition in it so I could run the Chrome shields.
