Default Throwout bearing orientation

I'm about to install a new throwout bearing and the new one I purchased, SKF N1488 has a pin that goes through the channel of the bearing where it attaches to the clutch fork spring tangs. The old bearing does not have this pin. I am assuming it is a design improvement to prevent the entire bearing housing from spinning. My question is: Which way should this bearing be installed? Should the bearing be installed with the pin inside the fork spring tangs (facing the ball stud), or should it be outside the spring tangs facing away from the ball stud. Thanks!

Hi,

I install with pin facing ball stud. The type I use have a hump, not a pin but same function.
