Yup, it's the wiper solenoid. If you're into keeping spare parts, then I suggest you hold onto it. If not, there's many a chrome bumper shark owner that'd gladly pay you $100+ for it.

I had to open my wiper door with the over-ride switch, so thought my solenoid was bad. Found a good one in a junk yard in Nebraska for 75.00 When I installed it, it still wouldn't open the door. Figured out Bubba had hooked the hoses up backwards, switched them and it worked fine. Checked my old one on the bench and it also worked fine. That's how I figured out which way the hoses needed to be hooked up. Now I have a spare!! :lol: Aren't they a beeich to get at. Why ooh why did they need to mount it on the back of the tach????
